MAC’s Magic, Mirth, and Mischief holiday 2009 collection is full of so many gems. The majority of the collection is centered around eye and lip palettes, which I normally pass over because there are typically a few colors that you can never wear within a palette. Not so with MAC’s latest creations! The Put a Spell on You Pink Lip Set ($36) is packed with all your lip essentials in totally wearable shades that complement each other.

Nestled in a metallic silver bag accented with pink grosgrain ribbon is a full-size Dazzleglass lipgloss in Baby Sparks, a full-size lipstick in Dream (a glaze finish), and a mini lip pencil in Dervish. Dream is a metallic-based light pink; Dervish is a your-lips-but-better natural pink lipliner; and Baby Sparks is a pale pink gloss flecked with microfine shimmer.
Start by lining lips with the Dervish pencil, and filling in lips with the color. Layer the Dream lipstick over it, and finish with the Baby Sparks Dazzleglass. You can either slick it over the entire upper and lower lip, or just dab in the center of each lip to create the illusion of volume. Pillowy, perfeclty pink lips…all in one tiny bag!
