If this doesn’t tug at my leopard-print-loving heartstrings, I don’t know what does. Dior’s Mitzah Eye Palette ($90) is the perfect fusion of haute couture and beauty. The powder in this compact forms a leopard-print pattern that you can use in a few different ways. Dip a shadow brush into the individual shades to use them as eyeshadow, or sweep a fluffy brush over the whole surface and use it as a finishing powder. As if this compact wasn’t beautiful enough with its spotted pattern, I am head over heels for the texture, which looks like a knit top. What else would you expect from Dior?

Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Foundation SPF 10
Smashbox recently unveiled Studio Skin 15-Hour Wear Foundation SPF10, an innovative new foundation that last for — you guessed it — 15 hours.
Inspired by the long, grueling hours and hot lights of photoshoots, this foundation stands up to the test of time in more ways than one. It resists fading, smudging, smearing, and stands up to humidity and sweat while still keeping skin hydrated and free of shininess. And because models wear it, they can’t have it coming off on clothes…so Smashbox made it transfer-proof, too. Continue reading
Recession Beauty: Aveeno Naturals Nourish + Condition Leave-In Treatment
Summer sun, heat, humidity, sand, and saltwater have wreaked havoc on my hair. In desperate need of a little extra TLC, I picked up Aveeno Naturals Nourish + Condition Leave-In Treatment (approx. $6) during a recent trip to Target. Continue reading

As fall gets ready to make its big entrance, these things are on my mind: big bouffant hairstyles, bold brows, booties, statement jewelry, muted florals, larger-than-life lashes, dark nailpolish, and comfort food.
Pantone Spring 2012 Color Forecast
Pantone has its finger on the pulse of seasonal color trends, and they recently released their spring 2010 color forecast. Every season, this report predicts the biggest color trends in fashion.
So, what are the hot hues for spring fashion & beauty? Lavender, lavender, lavender. And Pantone’s Sweet Lilac and Bellflower shades totally fit the bill for the purple reign that we’ll experience this coming spring. And if that wasn’t proof enough, MAC Sr. Artist Tiffany Johnston tweeted that lavender and purple are going to be huge in the spring beauty palette.
After the jump, see the other colors that you can expect to pop up both in spring wardrobe and cosmetic offerings.
Weekend Snapshots
This weekend, a group of us celebrated my friend Danielle tying the knot. We headed down to Atlantic City to throw her a bachelorette party, and to celebrate that Danielle has less than one month left of single life.
We had lunch and got manicures in Philly before heading to Atlantic City.
Dinner was at SeaBlue in the Borgata, complete with celebratory champagne.
After dinner, we struck out with long lines at the Borgata, so we headed to Harrah’s Pool, a nightclub built around an indoor pool.
And who did we run into? Jersey Shore‘s Snooki. My camera battery died, so I grabbed my friend’s camera and shot away. Then I snapped this iPhone pic of her camera.
Kate Spade Night Owl Bag
I have nothing to say about Kate Spade’s Night Owl bag ($225) other than I’m totally obsessed. I mean, a bag in the shape of an owl covered in sequins? Hey, Santa…here’s a hint for an early start!
Brows-ing The Web
Eyebrows are one of the first things I notice about people (yes, I’m oddly obsessed). Just as a really great pair of brows stands out, so does a truly unflattering pair (think: overplucked, overarched, shapeless). My brow obsession got me thinking about Hollywood’s A-list arches. These celebs nail it, with perfectly-shaped brows that flatter their facial features and make them look effortlessly polished.
Lauren Conrad: With the help of her makeup artist, Amy Nadine, (and before that, the pros at Billion Dollar Brows), Conrad transformed her overplucked, too-skinny brows into lush, to-die-for arches that provide the perfect frame for her eyes.
Rachel Weisz: With some of the fullest, shapeliest brows in the biz, Weisz is doing for modern ladies what Brooke Shields did in the ’80s: bringing back the natural yet bold brow look.

Kim Kardashian (and all of the Kardashian sisters): With celeb brow guru Anastasia Soare on hand to make housecalls, Kim of course sports perfect arches.
Mila Kunis: I recently read an “Allure” article by Heather Muir in which she referred to Mila Kunis as her “brow crush.” (Love that term!) It’s easy to see why…Kunis’s picture-perfect brows are shapely and tidy.
Who do you think has the best brows in Hollywood?
Fall Fashion Wish List
Even though we’re still battling hot, humid, wet weather here in Philly, I’m longing for nubby knits, bold accessories, and of course, boots now that autumn has arrived. Here are the items I’m currently coveting for my fall wardrobe.
Banana Republic’s Mad Men Collection Animal-Print Cardigan ($89.50): This lovely leopard cardi is so Joan Holloway; perfect for a dose of unabashed retro glamour. (Image via Banana Republic)
J.Crew Ice Cube Bracelet ($68): I’ve been thinking about this gorgeous chunky wrist bauble for weeks. (Image via J.Crew)
BCBG Sheila Wool Cowl-Neck Dress ($298): A cozy weekend/work-appropriate sweaterdress that will take you right through winter. (Image via BCBG)
LOFT Leather-Trimmed Double-Breasted Cape ($108): Capes are everywhere this season, and I’m dying for one. (Image via LOFT)
