NARS Summer 2010: Belle du Jour

NARS Belle du Jour is an elegant collection rife with understand, chic neutrals. The only real pop of color comes from an eyeshadow duo reminiscent of the sea in the South of France. (If only wearing it could transport you there!) Francois Nars once again tapped Amber Valetta to model the signature look from the summer collection. Inspired by Catherine Deneuve’s character Severine in the film “Belle du Jour,” Nars developed a collection that is classy, sophisticated, and perfect for warm summer weather.

Burn It Blue eyeshadow duo ($32): Irridescent ocean-blue paired up with a vibrant turquoise for shimmering, sea-green eyes. Lightly layer them for a multidimensional look reminiscent of clear blue waves; go a bit more heavy-handed to amp up the drama for a nighttime look.

Cayenne cream eyeshadow ($22): This rich brown cream shadow provides a rich cocoa hue to lids while remaining creaseless.

Coup de Coeur lipgloss ($24): NARS describes this shade as “apple-brandy tinted.” Sounds delicious!

Love Devotion lipstick ($24): A sheer, bright guava.

Enchanted cream blush ($26): A soft peach that brightens the complexion; perfect for creating a faux golden-y glow.

Lamu The Multiple ($38): The iconic all-over stick, now in a glazed-apricot shade.

Versailles nailpolish ($16): This champagne lemon-gold is perfect against a tan.
